Falling down a LessWrong rabbit hole

Been meaning to actually start on alignment for a while instead of just reading about it occasionally. Went down a LessWrong rabbit hole today — “How to Get into Independent Research on Alignment/Agency”. Embedded agency, agent foundations, the Hamming questions framing.

Respect for the depth of it, but honestly a lot of it felt too philosophical / preparadigmatic for where I’m at right now — not clear what a first concrete step even looks like, or how you’d get fast feedback on whether you’re right about anything. Filed away for later. Going to look for something more hands-on.
